It’s been busy here at bootstrappers.io and I wanted to write an update with what I have been up to and what’s coming.
Since taking over the website February last year, I have done a tonne of work on the bootstrappers.io. I have added 4500 more members, relaunched a dead mailing list and redesigned the site twice, but there is still a lot of work left to do.
Currently, I curate most of the links on the website, but thankfully the community is also increasingly contributing more, and more high-quality links. So thank you very much for those of you that take the time to submit great articles, and if you have read a great one recently then head on over to the submit page and share it with us.
As part of improving the flow of content into the website, I am reworking the source to include many more sources and to be a river of content (feed like) instead of the current by website method. I am planning for this to go live in July.
Also, it’s been a long time coming, but the new Show Bootstrappers section of the site is nearing completion, and I am planning on launching it this month. If you have a bootstrapped company that you want to show off head on over to the submit page and tell us about it to be featured.
Future updates
I am planning some new features for bootstrappers.io and wanted to write about it here to garner some feedback so feel free to jump into the comments below 😉
Firstly I am considering a job board for bootstrapped companies to find staff that understand what a bootstrapped company is and want to work for a company that focus’s on revenue not some pie in the sky startup.
Secondly, I am considering a section to help people find a fellow bootstrapped founders to either network with or to create new bootstrapped companies. Think LinkedIn but for bootstrappers 😉
And lastly, I have been asked a few times to create a forum on here and am considering it. It would most likely be done under the name bootstrapped founder club so if you are interested in joining fill out the form below.
